He is using a straight knife to cut tomatoes. I always use a serated blade to insure penetration.

adding just half a tea spoon of english mustard and half a lime zest i found gave them a nice neat kick works well with a simple sweet and sour soup as dippers !

@thepanamahat What Color Is Cheddar Sposed To Bee.??

LaCelestia February 8, 2012 at 7:19 am

@thepanamahat Yes. And this is not a joke. Certain Americans do not believe it’s cheddar until it’s painted almost low-in-the-dark orange.

AnkushB February 8, 2012 at 7:37 am

the volume is to low

thepanamahat February 8, 2012 at 8:17 am

jeez, is that CHEDDAR ? ? ? ?
Do you paint your cheeses Orange in The US ?

I tried this and used self raising flour instead of plain flour – the puffs didnt rise :-( they end up looking like macaroons and didn’t taste as good. I had to chuck them away and serve something else for my party. Although, I have had the real cheese puffs at a party before and they’re really really good. I was told to use Arrowroot flour instead – I’ll give this a go next time. I thought the video was great but it simplified the process too much…

MRandCast February 8, 2012 at 9:14 am

Why is it that some people who leave comments have to be mean spirited jerks just for sport? The point of this video was to teach people how to make cheese puffs and he did an excellent job. His directions were simple to follow and he explained everything thoroughly and with a friendly attitude. Nothing about him was odd or worth making fun of. The only thing wrong with this video is the volume level.

rommelandlori8179 February 8, 2012 at 9:51 am

Thanks for the post. I’ve been looking for the most simplist ingrediant. I’ve tried the brazilian version with tapioca flower, but it turned out to be a flat bread. Can’t wait to try this one out!!!
