Combine the sprouted sunflower seeds, shelled hemp seeds, chopped carrots, garlic cloves, dill, just the STEMS from the collard greens & the chopped celery stalks using a food processor. The one I use in this video along with some other ones I recommend are here: FOOD-PROCESSOR.life-regenerator.com — 2) Add sea salt & lime juice to taste, and blend some more. — 3) Scoop mixture into the collard green leaves, roll up into a “burrito,” and enjoy! OR scoop mixture on top of collard green leaves and serve as an open-faced “burger” OR serve mixture as a veggie dip alongside chopped vegetables OR serve however you’d like…be creative! * I nspiration * — I encourage you to

if you make a video and it turns out so poorly that you need to preface it with a disclaimer…. perhaps that is a sign that you should junk it… just sayin

@JustinWilliam10
Yes, we do do that. It is best to finish sauteing the onions and then add the masalas so they don’t burn.

JustinWilliam10 May 10, 2011 at 4:17 pm

A friend suggested that I add Masala as a seasoning while sautéing the onions, ginger and garlic. Have you tried that before?

ehabtouch May 10, 2011 at 4:39 pm

asafoetida!

We have not tried this particular recipe with chicken stock but you can definitely add it.

Tiallily May 10, 2011 at 6:16 pm

These adverts are pissing me off!!!!

ShowMeTheCurry May 10, 2011 at 10:49 pm

@krizem
We used whole Masoor. We have not heard of anyone being allergic to asafoetida but please use your own discretion. Many Jains use it as a substitute for onion/garlic. It is also used as a digestive agent when cooking gassy beans/vegetables.

krizem May 10, 2011 at 11:19 pm

Whole lentil…. great but what kind have you used? Asofetida some people are allergic to? onion and garlic substitute?

ShowMeTheCurry May 10, 2011 at 11:41 pm

@MsSMSgirl : Indian stores have the maximum variety or a lot of Whole foods stores and natural food stores now. You can also buy them online.

ShowMeTheCurry May 11, 2011 at 12:32 am

@art7s77 : No, it is a different daal and has a different flavor than that of Daal Makhani.

art7s77 May 11, 2011 at 1:27 am

is this similar to “Dal Makhan” ?

MsSMSgirl May 11, 2011 at 1:36 am

Where do you find alot of your spices? :)

ShowMeTheCurry May 11, 2011 at 1:49 am

@schweetheartmonkee : Unfortunately not, but you can buy Garam Masala, Chaat Masala and you are covered with most of them :)

schweetheartmonkee May 11, 2011 at 2:21 am

Hello,
This looks great! Do you know if there is a certain kind of “spice blend” that I could use – and the amount – at least for some of the spices? I don’t have any of these spices and I don’t really want to buy all of those. Thank you for your help!

lambyiii May 11, 2011 at 2:24 am

lentils are the bomb!!! you can make super nutritious and delicious soups with lentils. i like to add kale with my lentils….oh and garlic! yummy! for people who haven’t tried lentils, they taste like peas and beans combined. it cooks fast too….

eoduinemb May 11, 2011 at 3:15 am

This was so easy to understand! Thank you so much!
